When it comes to American style, you can't get more classic than jeans. So in honor of America's birthday this week, I put together a denim on denim look that plays up this versatile trend using different washes and simple gold accessories. I also added nude heels to add some major inches to my legs as well as a touch of classy elegance.

This year marks the 140th birthday of blue jeans. And with the 4th of July this month, I thought I'd cover all my bases by celebrating the births of two beautiful things at one time: jeans and the good ol' USA.
I recently learned that during the 1950s, wearing jeans was a symbol of youth rebellion and because of this, they were sometimes banned in theaters, restaurants and schools. We've clearly come a long way in sixty plus years and now denim of all kinds is an absolute staple in every closet around the country.
I salute my favorite textile, especially this week, as I show off my beloved chambray top paired with my favorite jean shorts. Denim & denim, what a lovely all-American couple.
