Technically I bought this dress for spring, but with the weather luck we've been having lately I don't think I'll be getting the chance to wear it as intended any time soon. So, I got creative and turned this dress into a chilly-weather garment while I "patiently" hold out for spring's arrival.
I couldn't resist adding one of my favorite statement necklaces. Its vintage appeal adds a touch of instant romance!
I can always count on my spiky bracelets from Stella & Dot to provide a splash of edge.
I am so drawn to the colors and vibrancy of this dress. But I what I really love about it is that the colors are set against a black background so that the brightness isn't too overwhelming. I can definitely see me reaching for this dress no matter what the season is. All I need to do is add tights, a jacket, and some booties and I've got a look that works even on cold days.
I'm starting to become more aware of the silhouettes that look better on my body type, and this fit-and-flare style dress is definitely a winning fit for me! Being an hourglass shape, I'm always looking for a flattering dress that's tight up top and flares at the bottom to show off my curves in a modest way.

Spring needs to hurry up and get here because I am getting so anxious to throw on some new sundresses without having to worry about freezing to death. As much as I love my black tights and rely on them all throughout the winter, I sure hope I don't have to keep pulling them out in March.
Here's to warmer weather (everybody cross your fingers)!
