Well Plaid // red dress + plaid coat

For me, holiday fashion means dressing extra bright, extra sparkly, and extra red. That means you'll see me regularly incorporating all of the above into my looks for the next month, starting with this cherry red dress and matching beret. 

To satisfy the "extra sparkly" part of my holiday fashion definition, I'm rocking ankle-strap embellished heels that I typically only wear this time of year. I love that they're simple and demure in the front, and PARTY in the back! A metallic purse is another great way to add subtle shine to any party look, and of course I couldn't forget my go-to chandelier earrings and one of my favorite vintage-inspired necklaces.

A plaid coat is endlessly versatile, which is why I'm surprised it took me so long to own one. They can easily be dressed up or down, and here, this top layer completes my ensemble with a playful yet sophisticated twist.

Now that Thanksgiving is over, I'm fully embracing Christmas! If you follow me on Instagram, you already know that Antonio and I were in full-blown decorating mode this weekend. Not only did we get our tree (first fake one I've ever had, RIP), but we decked it out, along with the rest of the apartment, making our entire space feel beautiful and festive. The only problem is, now I don't want to leave the house!

We ended our Saturday night with a trip down memory lane by watching Home Alone 2: Lost in New York, and I'd be lying if I said it didn't inspire this shoot just a little bit. After all, we shot right outside the Plaza Hotel, which is where a bulk of the movie takes place. NYC at Christmastime is truly something special!

A Taste Of Drama // turtleneck layered under ruffle top

This holiday season, serve up a look that’s equal parts festive and stylish with a sprinkle of drama and a dash of glam. I'm getting into the spirit with a bold lip, statement earrings, and unexpected layers. 

To give my party look a serious revamp, I styled a plain black turtleneck underneath a one-shoulder ruffle top. While I despised turtlenecks when I was younger, I can't get enough of them now — especially for layering! Elevated and easy to wear, this outfit is perfect for any event on your cal. Even better, you'll stand out in the usual crowd of dresses.

I love a skirt just as much as the next girl, but there's something powerful about a sharp pair of pants — especially during party season. Introduce the ultimate straight-leg ankle pants to your holiday outfit rotation by pairing them with a top as refined as they are. Extra points for ruffles, velvet, or subtle sparkle.

The holidays are officially here! I don't know about you, but they kind of snuck up on me this year, so I've been looking for as much holiday outfit inspo as possible. This is one look I can see myself turning to time and time again when I'm in a pinch for something chic and easy to wear. And even though I'm doing a low-key Thanksgiving this year with friends in Denver, I know I'll be rocking this next month as Christmas outings pile up.

With A Side Of Style // burgundy coat + bowtie blouse

A proper Thanksgiving outfit needs to be three things: polished, flattering, and comfy. This look is all of the above sprinkled with my own edgy spin on femininity. But no matter what vibe you go for, make sure your holiday turkey is served with a side of style. Too corn-y? Sorry, Thanksgiving turns me into a real HAM. 

Pairing modern stripes with luxe vegan leather, I pulled my look together with a rich burgundy top layer and burst of yellow satin. Ideal for everything Thanksgiving has to offer — from the sit-down dinner to chatting on the couch — this look ensures both style and comfort. Paint on a berry lip and add dainty gold jewelry as a finishing touch.

This has been my go-to coat so far this fall. I can't get enough of its deep wine hue and classic, tailored fit. Would you believe me if I told you it only cost $35? I picked it up from Primark in Brooklyn (my mom and I had quite the adventure getting there and back), and it's one of those pieces that looks a lot more expensive than it actually is. In other words, scoop this baby up now before it's too late! Word of advice though — you may want to size up a considerable amount. Here I'm wearing a size 6 (for reference, I'm just under 5'2).

The leaves just started turning colors here in NYC, and it's been so refreshing and beautiful to watch. Last year, we didn't get much color due to lack of precipitation, which I didn't even know impacted the leaves changing! I especially love wearing burgundy this time of year because it really pops against the orange and yellow foliage. To me, merlot is the perfect Thanksgiving color!

Let's Celebrate // velvet + confetti

 Believe it or not, the holidays are upon us, people! And even though I full heartedly believe it's too early to start breaking out Christmas decor (Don't worry Thanksgiving, I see you), I have already started planning and styling my holiday outfit guide. This is an unofficial holiday post featuring a look that can easily work for a festive get-togethering — whether it be for Thanksgiving, Christmas, or ANY social event on your cal between now and New Year's.

This season, I'm loving velvet, shimmer, rich hues, and metallics. And when it comes to embracing the holidays and all that they have to offer, I'm looking forward to getting cozy, dressing up for parties, and spending quality time with loved ones. Let the celebrating commence!
