On The Bright Side :: polka dots + color

There's a bright side to every situation, so let's get a bit creative and a lot colorful! 

Pink lips, polka dots, and multi-colored nails, Oh my! Getting dressed has never been so  much fun. All it takes is a little originality and a lot of quirky, lively pieces woven together with a side of color. 

These green, textured sneakers from Gap were purchased on a bit of a whim. I didn't know what I would pair them with, I just knew that I loved them. Turns out that's all that really matters. I wear these once a week with everything from skirts to jeans. They always give my outfits that extra punch of color and uniqueness.  

A standout, carry-all clutch in pretty metallics can be carried day or night. Mix it with pastels for a cheerful daytime look. Carrying a clutch in daylight may seem brave, but it's really just an opportunity to add some major polish to your favorite jeans ensemble. Sometimes crossbodies are overrated!

This pink bangle is one of my favorite subtle ways to incorporate the bubbly hue in my everyday looks. It reminds me of spring!

Nothing like some sparkle to make a bright outfit even brighter. This is my go-to for wear-with-everything shine. 

I don't wear my glasses a lot (I mostly just stick to contacts), but when I do wear them I find that it's when I'm feeling bold and when I really want to make a style statement. I thought glasses fit this quirky look to a T. And how about these crazy nails?

Although these photos look like they were taken in the spring, I swear they were only taken last week! North Carolina had gorgeous weather these past seven days with temps in the 70s just about every day. But today we're finally starting to feel that cold front coming in. #SaveMe 

My inspiration for this outfit was bright colors and bold patterns, so naturally I couldn't resist posing with these gorgeous pink flowers. It seems that as the sky gets grayer, my clothing only gets more rich and splashy. What's your secret to chasing away the chill?
