The Bomb :: floral bomber + LBD

Bomber jackets are the bomb, and here's why...

Bombers held the spotlight last spring, which is when I purchased this bad boy, but the great thing about this silhouette is that it's become a classic. A bomber is a wonderful closet staple to throw on over anything for that added layer of warmth. They're casual and cool and so incredibly effortless...plus it's super easy to find bombers in fun, unique prints! 

What I really love about this bomber, besides the gorgeous floral print of course, is the quality of it. It's actually quite hardy and a very warm jacket. It's truly not just a pretty statement piece solely for show - it is fully functional and gets the job done. How's THAT for form and function?  

My puppy Cody decided to join me for this shoot! Technically he's not a puppy anymore but he'll always be a puppy to me :). He's such a model but he clearly needs a haircut in these photos - I promise he's normally even cuter! 

When I lived in LA two summers ago I bought these Steve Madden wedge sneakers on a total whim. The only time I have worn them since that summer is with this exact outfit. I know, I know. But we all have made purchases we're not proud of. However, I do LOVE the way these wedges complete this look. They make my LBD look extra cool - maybe it's that LA vibe rubbing off ;)

Today I'm sharing a pretty simple look but one that I personally love. I wore it in the fall but decided to wear it once again when spring rolled around because it truly works for both seasons. An LBD is seasonless but paired with a bomber it works wonderfully in transition weather. And these florals are just perfect for springtime - I'm obsessed!
