Bright Practicality :: fedora + loafers

Luminous white and radiant pink make a beautiful, eye-catching pair. Team with black for a bold and grounded take on springtime brights. 

This look would not be complete without my ever-stylish fedora. 

While I'm normally a heels girl, I couldn't say no to these functional, comfortable, and extremely versatile loafers. I could easily wear them all day and they give this look a polished borrowed-from-the-boys vibe. Definitely a keeper for any girl on the go! 

This is a necklace that I should wear more often than I actually do. It goes with so much and I love how glittery it looks in the sunlight. It's glamorous and unique while the two-tone element ensures its versatility. 

This faux-layered top gives the illusion that I tried harder on this look than I actually did. Plus, layers without the bulk is always a plus in my book! 

Electrifying pants call for equally electrifying nails.

These photos were taken in my hometown of Naperville, Illinois while I was home on spring break last week. Don't you just love the bright mosaic in the background? It was my dad's idea to pose in front of it and I think it looks so cool against my white top and vivd bottoms. And I have to say, I feel pretty grownup in my loafers because they're so practical - practical yet chic! 

Brights are always a spring favorite of mine but of course I like to think of unique ways to style them. I find that pairing electric hues with the blackest of black creates a sharp contrast that's both sophisticated and captivating.
