Pattern mixing!
It's a little risky but when you do it right, it totally works, and you find yourself looking like a fashionista! So just how exactly can you mix your patterns without looking like a hot mess?
1.) Keep your colors in the same color scheme. Color schemes are: jewel tones, pastels, neutrals, primaries, brights, etc. You want to make sure that the colors you chose compliment each other - otherwise your whole outfit will look busy and messy.
2.) Stick to similar fabrics - this will keep your whole outfit in season and ensure that you're not taking on too much by trying to tackle pattern mixing and texture mixing at the same
time.
3.) Look for very different patterns that don't compete with each other (but make sure they still have at least 1 constant color between them).
4.) Dress your look up with neutral accessories. Let the outfit speak for itself.
Happy Mixing!

Totally agree with your advice. yeah it is quite risky to mix patterns. you did a great job on this one, mixing a black & white polka dot skirt with a green & white stripes and perfectly accessorized it :)
