Nyc fashion blogger Kathleen Harper showing how to wear flare jeans
As I write this, a massive snowstorm is about to hit the Northeast -- winter go home, you're drunk! But while I'm SO ready for spring to arrive for good, this is one of my favorite cold-weather outfits from this season. Stripes, leopard, denim, and pops of red definitely help put a pep in my step when it's freezing!

How gorgeous are these metallic-heeled booties? I wish I could give you all a link to them, but unfortunately I bought these nearly a year ago, so they're no longer on the market. However, you can shop a similar pair in black here. I love finding a fun pair of boots that make winter dressing less boring.

I originally was going to wear a plain brown belt with this look, but at the last minute I grabbed this leopard calf-hair style instead. I'm so glad I did too -- it gives my ensemble a chic, playful vibe. Plus, it never hurts to be reminded that leopard truly is a neutral!

Since winter is here to stay for a little while longer, the least we can do is grin, bear it, and (at least try to) look fabulous!

  1. Tell me about it! Is it just my imagination or have we in New York had the delight of being on the receiving end of winter Nor'Easters just as the daffodils were getting ready to come up each of the last few years?
    I LOVE Spring!!!
I love the look your cold-weather outfit! Your crimson Urban Decay liquid lipstick coordinates with the red knit Ann Taylor beanie beautifully. I love the complementary contrast with the navy Ann Taylor jeans and the navy and gold gold Zadig + Voltaire blazer. You look fabulous!
    Stay safe and keep warm!

  4. Flared jeans are the best! They look very individual and sophsiticated. I personally like them for versatility, as you can make them look vintage or keep things modern and classy. I made an article, about different flared jeans and simple outfit ideas you can create with these bottoms, have a look: http://onlywardrobe.com/womens-fashion/flared-jeans-for-women-who-like-vintage-style/ Hope you can find here some nice ideas.
