All That Glitters // LBD + snakeskin boots

"Nightwear" doesn't just have to be worn after dark. From glittery slip dresses, edgy accessories, and python-printed footwear, I'm rocking the hottest, most desirable trends ALL day, every day! Take a page out of my book and get inspired. 

Slinky slip dresses ruled the 90s - think Kate Moss and Naomi Campbell - and guess what? Just like chokers and velvet, they're baaaack! Put a modern spin on this evening (ahem, daytime) staple by choosing a print with a little attitude. Mine, for example, is dusted with rainbow sparkles, making it trendy, unique - and with TWO plunging slits - daring.  

A black leather jacket is timeless. Throw one over your shoulders for an effortless nonchalant vibe. NOT wearing your jacket is actually the new, cool thing...weird, huh? But trust me, it's fabulous (as long as it's not actually cold out)! 

Snake prints are guaranteed to take your go-to outfits up a notch - or two. And while python-printed booties may seem like a daring option, they're actually just as versatile as a neutral - except for the fact that they pack a MAJOR punch!

Sunglasses are alluring. Enough said. And these Ray Bans are just way too cool to keep stashed in the bottom of my tote bag! 

You most likely already own a choker. But do you have a metallic silver choker? This trendy version of a much-loved favorite feels so fresh with everything - and I mean EVERYTHING (hello t-shirt and jeans). 

Pointed earrings add just the right amount of sharpness to my ensemble; they're subtle yet super fierce. 

To polish off this daytime-fierce outfit, I gave myself a metallic eye teamed with an electric lip - a lip that actually looks more purple than pink IRL. Oh, and you may have noticed I straightened my hair! Who knew it was THIS long, amirite? I thought sleek strands vibed with this look much better than curls ever could.

Traipsing around SoHo, I felt pretty rocker chic in this outfit. And that made me realize that fun pieces - like glittery dresses - shouldn't just be reserved for evening. When worn with confidence, such standout items add total star appeal to your entire demeanor. Hmm, what's that phrase they always say? Life's too short...eat dessert first? Yep, I couldn't agree more!

Midnight Blues // sheer top + high-waisted jeans

The truth: sheer tops are IN! Also the truth: sheer tops can be challenging to style and uncomfortable to wear. But the good news is, there are so many kinds of sheer tops, which makes it easy to pick ones that shield your problem areas while highlighting your best assets! And yes, sheer CAN be classy. 

Fashion's favorite tops get a sultry evening-ready refresh this season. To master your next date night look, opt for romantic ruffles, dramatic hues, and sexy sheer detailing for major after-dark impact. I love how this Zara top is short, flowy, and shows off peek-a-boos of skin without being over-the-top; the high-neckline helps keep this piece polished enough for a fancy dinner.   

With any crop top, high-waisted jeans are a must. I chose a pair with some chic multi-button detailing that's just begging to be shown. 

The heels of the moment allow you to step into your own fantasy. Look to lustrous materials, exotic prints, and luxe textures for a fairytale ending to your go-to denim. I chose metallic pointed-toe pumps with a snakeskin cap to give my dreamy look a modern touch of whimsicality. 

Echoing the hint of python on my heels, I teamed this look with my favorite Rebecca Minkoff bag - in snakeskin of course. 

No necklace equals EXTRA attention-grabbing earrings. I wanted a dainty, elegant pair that helped make my top shine. I think the two ended up bringing out the best in each other, don't you think? 

I FINALLY got a Kylie Jenner lipgloss...and I didn't even purchase it for myself. My BFF actually gave it to me as a birthday gift, and it was seriously the most perfect surprise! She chose a gloss from Kylie's metallics collection for me, "Reign." It's like a bronzey, reddish, orangeish, shimmery matte gloss - if that makes any sense. But however you choose to describe it, it looks FIERCE once applied!

A look like this definitely makes a statement, which is why I love it! However, it must be worn with confidence - cheesy but SO true! When done right, wearing sheer pieces conveys the message that you're fashionable and you know it, and who wouldn't want that, right? 

I sported this look during NYC Restaurant Week when a bunch of girl friends and I went out to dinner at a trendy Mediterranean spot. For a night out on the town, this is a go-to.

You Had Me At Merlot // off-the-shoulder top + white jeans

Squeezing every last bit out of this warm weather we've been having, I restyled one of this year's biggest trends and made it work for autumn! Yep, I'm talking about off-the-shoulder tops! And in brilliant burgundy, this style can easily take you from summer to fall - bonus points for matching it to your lipstick ;)

Off-the-shoulder styles have ruled both the runways and sidewalks this past year. But just because temps have turned cooler, doesn't mean you have to cut this trend out of your rotation. Choose a top in a jewel tone and pair with long pants for a fall-appropriate combo. 

Obviously white jeans still look just as fabulous AFTER Labor Day as they did BEFORE Labor Day. In fact, they're quite fresh for fall! I love teaming white denim with edgier, more moody pieces to make them pop -- perfect for a daytime autumn look.

Lace-up heels are continuing to have a major moment, which is super exciting for me because I can't get enough of these gorgeous shoes. They're easy to wear with, well, everything! They truly give any look a stylish upgrade. 

A black patent leather clutch is your solution to finding that go-with-everything bag that's both sophisticated and versatile. And in an oversized version like this one, it also fits all of your necessities...unlike SOME clutches you may know. 

When wearing an off-the-shoulder top, I tend to go minimal with my jewelry. But like always, I love making an impact. These mismatched geometric earrings are dainty, modern, and JUST unique enough to demand attention. 

Refresh your daytime beauty with shiny bronzes and shimmering taupes. Add a smudge of black eyeliner into the lash line using an angled brush, then finish the look off with layers of mascara for serious smolder. 

Dialing up the drama is easy to do this time of year. And with burgundy added into the mix, it's simpler than ever! Think lustrous jewel tones, rich textures, and crisp silhouettes when looking to achieve a feminine polish with a captivating new edge.

It's crazy to think that soon it'll be too cold to even step outside without a coat, which is why I'm embracing this Indian summer we're having and getting all the use I can out of my favorite warm-weather pieces. Because as most of you know, I am NOT a fan of winter! And while this look is brilliant for a fall date night, it's also great for brunch with a best girl friend, which is exactly where I went after taking these photos!
