Opposites Attract :: blazer + boyfriend jeans

Saturday, March 14, 2015

Workday on top, weekend on bottom. Find that comfortable place in between polished & professional and laid-back & cool. What combo does the trick for me? A crisp blazer, forgiving boyfriend jeans, a bright top, and edgy heels .
This look easily takes you from desk to dinner, which is why I love it for a Friday night or a weekend evening. It's in charge yet refreshingly unpredictable.
A vivid pop of color (notice how my watch matches my top :) ?) steals the spotlight while elevating this look to a whimsically delightful level. Plus with warmer temps color is a must!
Crafted with silver studs and a bold ankle strap, these Target heels make an instant statement. Team with cuffed boyfriend jeans to show them off. Slouchy jeans and heels? A match made in fashion heaven.
Spring's shades of white are a fresh companion to color. Add a white accent to any look or throw one over your shoulder for a casual vibe. This outfit is hot with or without the structured office accessory.
A mix of metal and pearls helps bring this outfit to 2015 status.

We hear that opposites attract all the time. And although the jury may still be out on our relationships, for fashion it has always been a firm truth. Opposites attract is a style philosophy that I live by. I can't get enough of contrasting shapes, textures, and trends - that's why I love to wear my boyfriend jeans with more feminine, polished tops.

In fashion, rule-breaking is a must and two wrongs can definitely make a right. That's what makes this world so much fun!
