Sophistication In A Jean Skirt

It's a difficult task to find the perfect jeans - just ask any woman - but I find it equally as hard to find the perfect jean skirt. After 20 years of living, I have come as close as I ever have been with this little denim beauty. I found it on sale at a Free People store in Boston this past summer. When I saw it on the hanger I wasn't sure, I mean really? A jean skirt? Aren't those so middle school? But there was a rather sophisticated allure to this particular piece and it was just begging for me to give it a try (and after all, it's Free People! How could I say no?) I am so glad I took this into the dressing room because let me assure you, this is so not your average tween jean skirt.

The zipper on this skirt is conveniently located on the side of the piece, which prevents any bulk in front when wearing a tighter shirt. The skirt does not ride up as I walk, and every other skirt I've had in the past has done that so that is a big plus in my book. I also love how it is dark wash and has some sassy fringe on the bottom to spice it up a bit. If you get a good look at the actual denim, it has a unique pattern to it that, dare I say, makes it look mature and even quite special, which is a bold statement to make about a jean skirt but hey - if the shoe fits! ...Or denim in this case, and yes, it actually fits perfectly thank you!
