Summer Shades // bodysuit + striped midi skirt

Grounding bright summer colors with the ultimate neutral, I paired this vibrant striped midi skirt with a black bodysuit. Flattering and fun, my creation is perfect for an outdoor fete or a night out on the town.

I cannot say enough good things about these heeled knit booties by Nic + Zoe. Like all New Yorkers, I'm very picky about my footwear because I walk EVERYWHERE -- especially in the summer. Trust me when I say I've put these shoes to the test. I've literally walked for over an hour straight in these babies, and they felt great the entire day. Even better, they're super trendy and can be worn for date night! Style is great, but practicality is a must! 

To tie in the cobalt blue stripe in my skirt, I put on these dangle pom earrings in the same hue. I love how much they pop! If there's ever a time to go ham with color, it's summer, and I'm definitely experimenting this season.

This super cool chick with me in the above photo is my little sister Sarah! Our dad took these photos for me when I was back home in Chicago earlier this month. Of course my sis and I had to turn the outing into our own personal photo shoot! 

I love how Sarah's wearing a solid black skirt with a striped top, while I'm doing the opposite...it's not like we planned that or anything ;)
