On days when “effortless yet polished” is my #OutfitAesthetic, a good layer is key. Whether you throw a blazer on over a tee or pair a denim jacket with a hoodie, layers help keep your look dynamic and interesting without much effort. Plus, in Winter, those added layers are key to keeping warm. That’s what I call a win-win, and I am so here for it!
This Levi’s Trucker jacket has quickly become a prized possession in my closet. Not only is it flattering and classic — with a twist — but I had it personalized, making it completely one-of-a-kind. When the new Levi’s flagship opened in Times Square late last year, I was invited to the grand opening. While there, I got to experience the store’s customization shop for myself, which I kind of fell in love with. I ended up getting a local artist’s photo of NYC taken from a bird’s eye view, screen printed on the back of my jacket, along with a Leo patch on the left arm. I also added a sparkle emoji pin to each collar. Since I already own a denim jacket (that’s pretty dope if I do say so myself), I wanted this one to bring something different to the table. So to make it ideal for layering, I got a men’s size small, which means even a thick sweatshirt like the one I’m wearing here, still fits underneath.
The epitome of casual, a hoodie can hold its own on the style spectrum when teamed with smart, eye-catching pieces. Here, I’m wearing a classic logo sweatshirt with (faux) leather leggings, leopard booties, and a trendy purse in a fresh hue. I got these leopard boots for Christmas, and I’ve been styling them like crazy with virtually everything. They work especially well here to really elevate my entire look. I love when just one pair of shoes can completely change your fashion game for the better.
[Denim jacket (men's size, but I got a small): Levi's with custom personalization // sweatshirt: Levi's // leggings: Ann Taylor (similar pair here) // boots: Karl Lagerfeld // purse: Anthropologie (similar one here) // earrings: & Other Stories (I also like this pair) // watch: Fossil (I also like this one) // lip color: Kylie Cosmetics "Kristen" Lip Kit (similar shade by Kat Von D in "Berlin")]
I’m with you; sometimes getting dressed in the winter can feel like a chore. It’s cold out, it’s dreary, and your outfit will just be covered up by your coat anyway. That’s why this is my no-fuss, minimal-effort outfit formula when I just can’t be bothered. It’s simple: top (or sweater) + layer (jacket, blazer, vest, cardigan) + pants (let’s say no to jeans if you’re feeling like you need a creativity push) + statement booties. Extra credit for a bold lip and fun purse!
This is such a fabulous outfit. I love the leopard print so much!
