[top: Ann Taylor, skirt: Ann Taylor, necklace: Ann Taylor, booties: Style Co., earrings: Banana Republic]
What appeals to me about this outfit are the small details; the little things. Each piece has a unique element to it that when combined, create a simple yet charming look. Take the top for example, at first glance it may appear to be classic scoop neck tee (in a fabulous color I might add), but when examined a bit closer, the structure of the top is quite the contradiction of a casual tee. I love how the top "dips" in the back and is flowy on the sides - resulting in an almost peplum effect. This is clearly not your normal "boring" tee shirt, this is a super tee shirt with an extremely flattering silhouette - simple yet stunning.
This skirt I'm wearing has a similar effect. From a distance it may look like an average black skirt, your necessary basic. But closer up, the intricate detailing that covers the skirt becomes clearer. The texture of this piece is what makes it stand out and separates it from the bland.
Details people, details!
