Look Closer

What appeals to me about this outfit are the small details; the little things. Each piece has a unique element to it that when combined, create a simple yet charming look. Take the top for example, at first glance it may appear to be classic scoop neck tee (in a fabulous color I might add), but when examined a bit closer, the structure of the top is quite the contradiction of a casual tee. I love how the top "dips" in the back and is flowy on the sides - resulting in an almost peplum effect. This is clearly not your normal "boring" tee shirt, this is a super tee shirt with an extremely flattering silhouette - simple yet stunning
This skirt I'm wearing has a similar effect. From a distance it may look like an average black skirt, your necessary basic. But closer up, the intricate detailing that covers the skirt becomes clearer. The texture of this piece is what makes it stand out and separates it from the bland.
Details people, details!

Just Add a Blazer

Even though the weather has taken a turn for the chilly, that doesn't mean your pretty summer sundresses have to collect dust. Breakout those sundresses with style and warmth by simply adding a blazer - the ultimate chic accessory. Khaki, navy, black, burgundy and forest green are my favorite blazer hues for this fall - any jewel tone works great.
I absolutely love blazers because of their capability to bring any outfit up that extra notch without any fuss or added effort. I am a firm believer in the power of blazers, and you will see me in them a lot this season. Let the blazer-wearing weather begin

Switch it Up

During this transition season, it's so much fun to switch up the usual jeans and short sleeves combo for shorts and long sleeves - or in this case, shorts and a fabulous jacket! I love to experiment with my layers and try different temperature-appropriate combinations. A jean skirt with a colorful tank and a patterned cardigan is just as much 'fall' as corduroy pants and a sweater shirt. Shorts with booties, and a jacket or sweater up top has ultimately the same coverage as wearing short sleeves with long pants, but it can be oh so much more edgy! I dare you to play around with your fall style and think outside of your box a little bit. Fall is the season that allows for experimentation and creativity! Give it a try
