Pineapple Express // Strapless Crop Top + Midi Skirt

For those of you looking for a quintessential summer look that's playful, refreshing, and chic, this one's for you. 

From rooftop cocktails to Sunday brunch, a tropical midi skirt paired with a breezy strapless crop top makes a statement. Printed sandals, complementary jewelry, and an on-trend bag are the icing on the cake. 

This top in particular is a favorite of mine and I love wearing it with everything from high-waisted jeans to colorful skirts. It's definitely a multi-faceted summer staple that was worth every penny. And guess what? It's available in multiple colors!

Fruit-emblazoned skirts rise in popularity every summer, and while this one is a few seasons old, it's just as relevant as the day I bought it. But if fruit isn't your vibe, a tropical or colorful skirt gets the same point across. Switch it up, play with prints and hues, and have fun — it's SUMMER, people!

The beauty of this combo is that it works just as well for a daytime wedding as it does for a day of shopping with your mom. I did the latter in this ensemble and then proceeded to head out to dinner with my family. I felt comfortable and confident all day, and I'm definitely keeping this outfit in my back pocket for my next bridal shower, birthday brunch, or even for days when I just want to look a little extra sparkly!

Haute Tropic // pineapple skirt + one-shoulder top

Channel the Chiquita Banana lady - in the best way possible of course - and slip into something a bit tropical and a lot stylish this summer as the temps rise. It's hard not to let the bright colors liven your mood!

I bought this pineapple skirt last year in the spring and it's proven to be a closet staple for me for two summers in a row now. There's something so cheerful and optimistic about pineapples - it's no wonder they symbolize friendship and warmth in certain cultures. In midi skirt form, this piece is classic and uber ladylike.

While off-the-shoulder tops are certainly "in," one-shoulder tops are the new craze. Elegant and slightly unexpected, this refined ruffle blouse is not only ideal for brunch or an afternoon date, it's also perfectly acceptable for the office or after-work cocktails. Tucked into a skirt, this piece becomes super feminine, but worn with skinny jeans, it's chic and trendy.

How fun are these hot pink slides? Reminiscent of slippers, these whimsical sandals are insanely comfy and such a JOY to wear. Even better, they come in a variety of hues - including blue, black, and gold. While pink may not have been the most practical color choice, sometimes you just have to do what makes you smile. The pizazz these babies add to my summer outfits is priceless.

This sky-blue envelope clutch is one-of-a-kind. I bought it at an event hosted by THE Rebecca Minkoff herself, and I was able to get it monogrammed with the first three letters of my first name. That was nothing though compared to when I actually got to meet Rebecca soon after making the purchase. I've been a fan of hers for years so to say it was a special moment is an understatement. 

With an asymmetrical neckline like this one, it's fun to get fancy with your earrings. Since a necklace is best left out of the picture, I chose a statement pair of crystal dangle earrings, and I love how they put a polished finishing touch on my entire ensemble. They're truly the icing on the cake. 

Dior Addict Lip Tattoo is such a great lip product for summer. Its light, non-sticky formula is a breath of fresh air as the humidity increases, yet its bold pigmented color is juicy and impactful. Here I'm wearing the "Natural Berry" shade.

I can't help smiling when wearing this bold midi skirt! From its sunshine yellow hue, to its fun pineapple print, this piece is definitely a standout AND completely on trend for summertime. Pair it with sexy, strappy heels for date night and get ready for endless compliments! 

Confession: this is actually NOT a top - it's a bodysuit! Sneaky sneaky, huh? Bodysuits are totally my jam right now as they're super easy to wear, completely comfortable, and 100% fuss free. And the off-the-shoulder touch? Perfection! 

Metallics are totally having a moment this season and I am loving it! These minimal sandals are sleek and stylish and, actually, super comfortable! You can bet I'll be rocking these beauties ALL summer long. 

Available in tons of colors (neon yellow, navy, black, bright pink, and more), this Rebecca Minkoff bag is my new go-to purse. It's cute and dainty but packs a major style punch - and is able to hold ALL my necessities.  

Keeping the rest of my accessories minimal, I decided to pile on bangles to make a statement. 

Big yellow earrings really tie my whole look together. And I just love this warm shade - it definitely brightens up a cloudy day! 

I knew I had to opt for a bright, fun lip shade for this look so I chose a demi matte lipstick in fuchsia! I love the pop of color it adds to my outfit - it feels so summery and fresh! 

How gorgeous is this pineapple floral arrangement? My roommate actually made it! Isn't she talented? I couldn't resist taking some photos with it in my matching skirt.
