Festival Spirit

Piecing together the perfect festival ensemble takes time - so why not give yourself the upper hand and start now? 

This look isn't something I'd wear to a summer musical festival because, well, I'd be sweating bullets in a black dress, long sleeved button-down, and boots. But with that being said, this outfit is definitely festival inspired. I love that I can get my festival style fix now, even before the actual season rolls around. 

Festival style is all about bohemian chic. Think retro hippies gone high-fashion, but let's remember what century this is, so you've gotta add some modern flair too. 

Layer as many metal bracelets on your wrist as you want. The more you pile on the more festy you become. 

The great thing about festival fashion is how flattering it is. If you find yourself wearing a bodycon dress then you are in the wrong place. Easy breezy silhouettes rule the festival runway. And don't forget about high-waisted pieces paired with crop tops. 

If you're not a fringe girl (aka me), lace trimmed hems gives off a similar yet more refined vibe. I'm wearing a black dress here, but white lace dresses are perfection in summer.

Spring Ahead

Modern femininity meets classy sophistication with colorful brights, pretty pleats, and dainty lace anchored by elegant heels.  

These candy inspired colors coupled with sunshine brings an instant smile to my face. 

Give your day a boost with a blast of turquoise. 

I love the reveal and conceal element of this lace-trimmed skirt; subtle seduction at its finest. 

Chunky heels have never looked so dainty when you add a delicate ankle strap and a peep-toe.

Happy Daylight Savings! Although we did lose an hour of sleep this week, I'd gladly sacrifice some snooze-time for some extra sunshine. And I'm so excited to announce that it's finally warming up down here in the South. This weekend we had temps in the upper 60s and it felt marvelous! I couldn't help but breakout some colorful pieces and fierce heels.

Sweater Crop

I've been obsessing over the crop top trend lately, but with the arrival of spring taking its sweet time, I've had to find some creative ways to start wearing my spring clothes - including cropped items like this sweater. Sometimes you've just gotta wear what you feel, despite the moody weather! 

This combo of blue & green is perfect for this transitional time of year; it's a brighter take on a winter staple. And of course I couldn't help matching my accessories!

So far the first week of March has been no different than February. Yes it is still cold and dreary. But the forecast for this weekend is...[drumroll please]... SUNSHINE! So I'm hoping for the opportunity to break out one of my new sundresses. Because let's be honest, I know I'm not the only who is incredibly sick of wearing jeans every day. Stay tuned!
