While this (previously scheduled) post is being published, I'll be flying to Paris, France! Since I've never been out of the country before - I know, gasp - I'm EXTRA excited about this trip! To prepare, I started getting into the French spirit long before I even packed my suitcase. I started by purchasing and styling this fabulous tee.
I took French for five years throughout middle school and high school. And while I didn't retain much, I do know that this graphic tee says "It's cool." I picked it up at Banana Republic over Memorial Day weekend and - score - it was on sale! I love simple black & white graphic slogan tees as they create an effortless look when paired with a skirt. They look just as great with a polished pair of jeans.
This lacy white pencil skirt is so feminine and romantic, which I love! But while dressing it up ALL the way can be fun, it's way more my speed to style it casually - like with this tee. That's the beauty of a versatile piece; you may think you can only wear a dressy skirt like this with a fancy top, but your options are beyond limitless in reality. Heck, this would even look cool paired with a trendy sweatshirt!
Let me just say right now that I do not wear these heeled mules enough. I fell in love with them when I first spotted them two years ago, and I STILL am obsessed. They seem to make me stand way taller than any other heel I own. I also love the unexpected dash of python print on the first strap and heel - that detail makes them edgy and memorable. And with an all-white look like this, a pop of something different is definitely appreciated!
The great thing about this clutch is that it can also be a crossbody bag. A purse with removable straps gets an +A in my book! While I considered using my bag as an opportunity to incorporate some color into my ensemble, I loved the idea of strictly all-white/beige look. There's just something so clean and fresh about monochrome - especially in such an ethereal hue. It's also pretty dramatic, don't you think?
The clear stones on this gold Kate Spade necklace make it extra special. It's dainty and feminine and adds a world of polish to my simple tee.
I love statement dangle earrings, but I'm super sensitive to their weight. I adore this pair because it's eye-catching yet super light.
Since my clothing is on the subtle side color wise, I wanted my makeup to stand out. I chose to match my lips to my eyeshadow, and I think the result is impactful and girly. I used a matte gloss and Urban Decay's Naked 3 palette.
