I have fair skin yet still love wearing light pastel colors, however, because of my skin color, I do have to be mindful of what looks good on me and what doesn't; one way I do that is by picking bright ligths (as I like to call them). Bright lights work for any skin tone and utterly prevent that dreaded "washed out" look. These colors are flattering for all and bring out a gorgeous tan in the summer, and let's be real, it can't get much better than that!
With this particular floral-esque dress, I was immediately drawn to the sunset color scheme, and I loved the fitted structure of the dress as well. I wanted to keep my accessories soft and in the background, because this dress needs to be the focal point and I didn't want any competition between pieces. I chose my favorite go-to nude heels and a thin sparkly neutral colored belt to add that little touch of glamour that I always strive for. My jewelry matches the dress perfectly (especially the necklace- I was proud of that one), and I matched my nails as well with a highlighting technique where I painted the ring finger on each hand the same color but a different shade from the rest of the fingers (I'm obsessed with that polish style right now)! My favorite part of all though is the floral headband; it so seamlessly blends in with the style and colors of the dress that you'd think I purchased them together. When something like that happens, we call it fashion magic!
